I liked it because of this warm colors and that it was so much natural materials used in exterior and interior. It gives it a very retro look and reminds actually a bit of this famous Fallingwater or Kaufmann Residence by architect Frank Lloyd Wright in the way this structure form was created.
It is something very nostalgic over this project, and I just had to post it here as a note about this beautiful project.
This house was designed by: Dirk Denison Architects
Location: Carmel, USA
Consultant: Building Engineering Systems
General Contractor: Thomas H. George Construction
Landscape: Blasen Landscape Architecture; Cypress Gardens
Consultant: Building Engineering Systems
Engineer: Endre Studio Structural
Photographs: David Matheson
They focused a lot on the creating of open and flexible spaces as it can be seen in these plans.
I like that it is so much focus on landscaping around and inside of the house.
It seems like landscaping and house architecture integrates in the one common flow.
This light openings in the ceiling makes no difference between being outside or inside of the building.
It is California, and it is warm mostly of time. It would make big difference here in Denmark:)
I am not sure about furnishing in the living rum, perhaps it missing some cozy sofa arrangement.
I still cannot find out why it is 2 sofa tables and that sofa improvisations is situated so far away from each other, it feels not so social in this space....
I like to see danish designs in this interior:)
Bathroom or spa?
Very retro office/working space.
This is an adorable space for enjoying of sunsets:)
