Clean cut and gentle poetry.

Hello everyone:)

It is not a secret that I have much more passion for residential architecture than public. To create an a multifunctional space for a family is more personal business than in creating of public architecture. Down to the earth relation ship  between architect and users in this type of projects gives possibilities to put more personality on projects and go more in to the details that I better prefer:)
There is a that type of project that have captured my attention at architizer: a Newlands House in Capetown/South Africa. This building have been designed by chilean architect Antonio Zaninovic.

Clean cut surfaces gently attached to the landscape. Take equal parts poetry and structure, throw in some to-die-for landscaping and you've got architecture.

Words by creator : "The Newlands House incorporates a clean modern aesthetic that embraces the diverse landscape of Cape Town's rugged mountains and oceanfront location. While maintaining a high level of privacy, the Newlands House provides uninterrupted views of the sea afforded by its perch on a hillside above the city centre. The Newlands House stands in harmony with its location and environment".

Isbjerget craziness or new styles of Aarhus??? I allow myself to give some critics....

Hello everyone:)

Every modern city have to own a one or two questionable architectural pearls, and Aarhus just has got it....
Therefore I allow myself to  give some critics to a chosen design Isebjerget (not finished yet) architectural pearls in Denmark/ Aarhus city where I live.

Today we went to "Aarhus havn", to see some more progress around the "Light house" and a building fever around this new Aarhus sealine generally. I have to admit, that I am still surprised how it was possible to give a permit for craziness to come out in a very irrational and destructing way placed by the side of "Light house" that I think is really  beautiful and very balanced architectural design....?

I know it was a several architect firms behind this project, and there maybe where a decisions taken in hurry without a setting so much a human (user) in focus in this project. The forms of building very futuristic, and yes it reminds me of Iceberg (I don`t really know) why and how it links to Aarhus city.
It is very difficult to see a connection or links to a form language, (why this design was created precise this way)?  From the human eyeline staying outside of this building composition, you will not see any logical connections in form design. It reminds me only a lot of triangles just putted together and voila!
If you see a model of this composition, it have some connection, but then you have to borrow a helicopter to see it better...

....The slopping windows will never allow any  housewife to put a single flowerpot or candle light on the windowsill.
This very slope roofs collect a lot of snow in between (right now) in the connecting points between "the Crystals" (it is easy to see it now in the winter weather) And I hope it is really god isolation on this points, otherwise in waiting for a black walls. And I doubt that you can find so many families that after a while will not be tired of slope walls in their apartment after some years...

Cool designs is always a fun, but how long can it last? My time as an architect student I have often designed a triangular architecture but mostly in connection with art. When it comes to every day life, human need a very balanced design that invites for coziness and home longing feeling...Therefore I conscious will always try to avoid a very slope architecture in connection with every day life:)

It was just my opinion...

Have a nice time out there:)

Hello everyone:)

After a while, just by being a member of some very exciting groups at FaceBook and webpages, I got some really nice and inspirational photos of interiors that I would like to share with you:)
This is a little compilation of what has captured my attention:) As a real lamp junky, my attention very often is captured by interiors where beautiful lamp designs where used on the right way;)

This is a home of Danish artist Tenka Gammelgaard. She paints her art only in black
and white:) So she lives in this colors too;)
This lampdesign is from Moooi "Dear Ingo".

Who said that you have to paint the walls?
It looks very raw and industrial when you get cool furniture and lamp designs in to interior.:)
This lamp designs is from Artemide "Tolomeo basculante mega terra".

Tolomeo everywhere:) Paper lamp is one of the lamps that is closest for us humans:)

Raw on the warmest way:) designed by Gianluca Fanetti .
